Snowy Continent

this winter’s last snow

melted into to the shape of

a hot continent

[Ian] Stop Snowing!

snow blows through the the night

leaves shadowy, ghostly tracks

ignores traffic sign

[Amy] Piney-cone

beginning to melt
the warmer weather reveals
piney-cone of life

*note: this post in honor of my friend Kevin, who always tells me of the piney-cone of life

[Ian] Spring

winter melts away

spring uncoils to warm the land

white retreats from green

[Ian] Faraway Rest

slogging through the snow

spots a handy place to rest

but so far away

[Amy] Snow Dance

Snow Dance

twisting and swirling
whipping wind toys with the snow
in a blinding dance

[Amy] Spirograph

Playing in the snow
Bringing back the memories
Of the days of old

[Ian] Dream Light

twilight bathes the town
in a summerlike sunset
but snow tells the truth

[Amy] Warm

Climate change or no
Sudden changes in weather
Don’t let the snow melt

[Ian] Slushy Note

looking like paper
lines of communication
written in the snow
