but rosemary may not keep

to taste in the spring

this winter’s last snow

melted into to the shape of

a hot continent

snow blows through the the night

leaves shadowy, ghostly tracks

ignores traffic sign

bubbles trapped in ice

leafy fingers stretch upwards

as if juggling them

beginning to melt
the warmer weather reveals
piney-cone of life
